Monthly Maintenance

It’s hard to believe that winter is right around the corner. It’s time to get prepared for the weather change.

  • Mulch or remove leaves from your yard. Check with your city or trash company for removal options or learn how to mulch your lawn.

  • Clean gutters to prevent damage to roof in the winter.

  • Turn off water to exterior faucets before the first freeze.

  • Check and re-seal exterior caulking around windows and doors. How to Caulk a Window.

  • Create a safe plan for snow removal. Check with your city regarding parking and snow removal ordinances. If you live in within a Homeowner’s Association, check with your board about any snow removal plans.

  • Purchase or repair any tools needed for snow removal.

Money Minute
